Breast Augmentation

This is a 37-year-old female with complaints of small breasts which has been problematic and bothersome to her for many years after pregnancy. She desired fuller breasts to enhance her overall appearance. She did not want to be too big but did want to create natural fullness. The patient’s planned procedure was bilateral breast augmentation. She chose smooth round gel implants, 350cc, placed via a periareolar incision in the submuscular pocket. This approach allowed for a nice natural result while filling her out without looking over done. She was extremely happy with her result and felt that her outcome was exactly what she desired—a natural looking enhancement. She experienced very little discomfort, requiring pain medications for about a week and was able to resume normal activities in one to two weeks.
