Breast Reconstruction

This is a 39-year-old female with left breast carcinoma who had a mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction. The breast was reconstructed by creating a submuscular pocket using an AlloDerm graft, and then placing a saline implant filled to. Approximately one month later a prophylactic right mastectomy and immediate reconstruction was also completed in the same fashion. Her implants were filled to 130cc.
Finally, approximately 5 months after the second mastectomy a revision was done. A revision to bilateral breasts as well as an exchange to silicone gel implants upsizing to 225cc was completed.
