Arm LiftOverview

An arm lift is also known as a “Brachioplasty” which reshapes the upper arm by removing excess hanging skin, tightens and smooths the underlying supporting tissue and removing unwanted pockets of excess adipose tissue in the upper arm region.

Wide changes in weight, aging, and hereditary can cause your upper arms to develop a drooping and sagging appearance as a result of excess hanging skin and a large collection of fat deposits. This condition cannot be corrected through diet and exercise.

There are nonsurgical options using radiofrequency energy either on the skin surface (e.g. Exilis Ultra), through the skin (e.g. Morpheus) or below the skin (e.g. BodyTite) that are designed to tighten loose skin under the arms. These nonsurgical devices have the advantage of modest tightening of loose skin under the arms without scars and significant risks. However, most of these devices require multiple treatments, maintenance treatments, and will not achieve results at the same level as surgical procedures. These nonsurgical treatments are best performed in patients that are not overweight and have mild to moderate upper arm skin laxity.
